Outcome Health and CancerCare Announce Partnership

Outcome Health to bring leading cancer support resources and services to infusion and consultation rooms

NEW YORK – February 6, 2017 – Outcome Health, the leading provider of healthcare decision platforms that enable positive health outcomes, today announced a partnership with CancerCare.  Through the partnership, Outcome Health will deliver leading information on cancer support resources and services produced by CancerCare to patients, caregivers and physicians within Outcome Health’s network of oncology offices. As the leading national organization dedicated to providing free, professional support for individuals living with cancer and their caregivers, CancerCare’s services include counseling, support groups, educational workshops, publications and financial assistance to those affected by cancer. CancerCare’s services are administered by oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts.

“We are proud to launch this partnership with Outcome Health”, said Patricia Goldsmith, CEO of CancerCare. “The company shares our passion for improving the quality of care, support and outcomes for those impacted by cancer. Together, we are excited to bring CancerCare’s leading resources to millions of patients and caregivers through Outcome Health’s innovative technology.”

Though there are roughly 14.5 million cancer survivors – a number expected to reach 19 million by 2024 – minimal research exists on how people experience life with cancer. CancerCare has led the research around this experience and invests in quantifying and addressing gaps in information, impact, treatment options, emotional support and survivorship.

“An accurate cancer diagnosis is only the first step in a successful cancer treatment, and improved outcomes,” said Matthew Garms, Director of Association Partnerships at Outcome Health. “CancerCare is the leader in providing free comprehensive services to manage the challenges of cancer. Through this partnership we can ensure that individuals impacted by cancer, either as patients, caregivers or survivors, can take action to utilize CancerCare’s vital services. CancerCare provides actionable and tangible tools to help them better manage the uncertainty that surrounds a diagnosis.”
